Tests/Projects- 30%
Quizzes- 20%
Classwork/Participation- 30%
Homework- 20%
Quarterly exams – 10 % of semester grade
Final Exam – 10% of semester grade
Warm-up/Al Entrar: Each time that we meet, as soon as you walk into class, you should begin working on the warm-up that is on the board or overhead projector. You should to record your answers to the warm up in your spiral notebook/daily work section of your binder. You will also be provided with an online agenda each Monday with the class plans and homework for the week. You must be actively working on the warm-up in order to receive homework points at the beginning of the class period. Notebook organization quizzes will take place periodically.
Homework /Tarea: During the warm-up, students should do the following:
1) Set your homework on your desk so that when I pass by I can give you credit for your homework.
2) You will receive a credit or no credit grade for completeness and for effort. The point scale is 5-0.
5= complete and best effort.
3= half done and/or little effort.
0 = incomplete/ unexcused absence
AB = excused absence
3) We will then go over the answers as a class. It is your responsibility to ask questions and make corrections to your work.
¿Puedo ir al baño, por favor? If you have an emergency and need to use a pass, follow the procedure below:
1) Wait until any class discussion or lecture is completed, then ask Srta. Rohwer IN SPANISH.
2) Sign out and back in at the door.
3) If you ask me to go to the restroom, I expect you to be there, not in another class or in other hallways. You will receive an automatic detention if I find out you were elsewhere.
Absences
If you are absent from Spanish class, remember that it is your responsibility to get your make-up work and do it in a timely fashion.
The first thing that you should do is:
1) Check the weekly agenda and the homework box.
2) Ask Srta. Rohwer for any handouts, and find out if there were any quizzes or tests while you were gone.
3) Set up a time to make up any quizzes or tests that you missed
